Introduction
Due to the influence of a new type of coronavirus that is spreading around the world these days, the economic environment is deteriorating and our daily lives are changing drastically.
In Japan, the impact on metropolitan areas has been particularly great, with the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics, a tightening of the medical field, and even bankruptcies of companies, all of which have led to unimaginable circumstances.
Then, what is the current state of our city, Hamamatsu, in which we live?
We think we need to think about how to make Hamamatsu a city with a future for young people in the future.
Why we chose the theme of “Local Revitalization Plan
1) We want to make Hamamatsu a town loved by many people
Today, tourists have a huge impact on a city’s economy. If we want to make Hamamatsu a city that many people want to visit, we need to strengthen our services not only for domestic tourists but also for foreigners. We also thought that it is essential for us young people to think seriously about what we can do to make our society a better place to live in order to spread the charm of Hamamatsu to many people.
2) Changes in the economy and living environment due to the new coronavirus
As mentioned in the Introduction, many companies have been forced to go out of business due to the effects of the new coronavirus, and there are many people who have lost their jobs and are struggling to make ends meet.In order to bring a little change to the current situation where the range of activities has been narrowed and people are anxious everywhere they go, we thought we would use the Online School Festival as a platform to send out information that would help people who visit this site to find something to look forward to in the future and to cheer themselves
3) Town Center Revitalization Project by the Entetsu Group.
The “Town Center Revitalization Project” was started by Enshu Railway Company to tackle various issues in Hamamatsu City.In order to increase the value of Hamamatsu, a private sector-led council called the “Hamamatsu Machinaka Vitality Council” was established to work together.Led by the Entetsu Group, many companies are working to revitalize the city. As a citizen, we, too, agree with them and want to work together to enliven the city.
